Any of you trying to use v.2 with protools HD? Nightmare, slows the whole app to a crawl and loves to crash. I had to go back to V1 just to get through a project

My biased uninformed 2 cents worth

Mach Five v.2 has a ton of bugs, it's slow and it crashes a lot. I wish it were not the case I waited 2 years for it!.( i am trying to use it in protools I should add) I don't know about MX4. NI stuff is pretty good but it's finicky installing it.The layout and manuels are very technical, a bit user...

logic switch. a perspective

I guess this has been said already but I use DP and have several friends who have Logic. They have just as many gripes as I do about DP. I really can't face relearning another telephone directory sized manual. The real differences between these programs are getting smaller with every upgrade. One th...

Cueline Video Streamers and DP 5.11 CRAAAAAP!!!!!!!!!!!

In case anyone else is interested. I finished banging my head against the wall and managed to work out for myself that DP outputs to Cueline on ch.1 using MIDI note info not sysex info. Cueline needs to be set up to recieve this. Here's the scoop. "It's Crap". It seems like MOTU put all th...

Cueline Video Streamers and DP 5.11 Anyone? fairly urgent!

Hi There, I have a big orchestral date coming up and I need to get cueline procue 1m1 up and running. Can't find DPs setup for it anywhere. The cueline is configurable so I need to know stuff like is DP outputing sysex or notes for streamer triggers, what they are etc. I have the two boxes talking an...

Cueline Video Streamers and DP 5.11 Anyone? fairly urgent

I have an orchestral date very soon. Rented a Cueline and find that this is not obvious stuff. Lack of documentation on both sides. Cueline can react to various MIDI commands but I can't find Performers set up for it anywhere. Even the basics like are streamers sys ex like auricle or MIDI notes? wou...

Thanks for the sentiment. You are probably right. The thought of reading another telephone book sized manual for another sequencing software is a little daunting to say the least. MOTU realy have tested my patience to the limit with MACH V though, probably because of the massive amount of work I put...

Mach V v.2 Lack of information from MOTU is just plain rude

Having invested a massive amount of time and resoarses converting all my hardware sampler libraries to Mach V based on MOTU's released intentions and timetable for v.2, I have found myself in sampler limbo-land. It would apear that, what, nearly two years late? eighteen months late? (I've lost count...

I find mach 5 and SI both a bit shakey with protools. Much better with DP.
The MIDI timing in Mach 5 with protools is not even close to accurate. Haven't tested SI for that yet. Streaming seems to instantly crash PT. even though mach 5 folder is on it's own SATA internal drive on the g5

I'm with sklathill on this subject. I was hoping SI was going to look at some of the older not expensive libraries like miroslav, sidliochec(or however you spell it) and one of my faves, the ancient but highly usable akai prosonus/Samplecell prosonus. There was so much to learn from those libraries ...

Well there goes any credibility for TEC awards, as far as I'm concerned.
SI is in my opinion a pile of rubbish.

Who knows maybe MOTU bought the nomination, it certainly doesn't merit one.

Maybe I can samle a fart and get a TEC award nomination for that!
