This one has turned to be my go-to for any project.

IMOE, extremely transparent. Many presets, in case you need some.
A serious learning curve if you wanna go deep inside, though.

Re: Looks like it’s time to move away from DP - wondering if others are doing the same
To make a simple and clear answer to OP: for sure, it's not the moment for me to quit working with DP.
To each his own, and as usual YMMV.
Hope you find your way and get the job well done (and well paid!).

Re: "File Not Found (-43)"
Not sure but it may be a OS 12/7/6 thing.
Not sure every 12/7/6 user are hit, though.
Happens within an hour if DP is up and TM is set to automatic backup.
My routine is still TM manual backup at session end.
A workaround, not a solution.

IMHO, the Waldorf hardware vocoder, named STVC, is great. IMOE, very clear and articulate.
I have the Waldorf plugin too, named Lector, but have never used it in a projet, till now.

Maybe I don't get your case, or I'm pushing an opened door: Why not send (aux send) your mono (sidechain) track to a new stereo bus, then feed the vocoder sidechain input with this stereo bus?

Well, Mike, I'd much like to know the way. I'm gonna have some use for this in near future.mikehalloran wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2025 11:07 pm[...]It's easy to convert an entire project's worth of files in DP without those errors if that's what you want to do — much faster than BTD. I can post screen shots when I get back to my Mac. [...]

Re: How do YOU compose music?
First call, I hate composition dead lines, in any types of project, small to big ones.
But I found that dead lines do push me further, to places where I woud'nt go.

Re: New Roli "Piano"
If someone has opportunity to put fingers on this keyboard, I'd be very interested by first impressions.
Mainly about key feeling : how does it compare to the TP/8S and TP/9S Fatar semi-weighted keys?

Re: New Roli "Piano"
Thanks for posting, Stubbsonic.
Full 49 size keyboard, with pitch and poly-aftertouch, is much tempting. Hum, hum...
Leap-motion did get lost a few years ago, letting a gig-friend of mine very disapointed.
AirWave could be good news for him.

Beating a long dead horse: in case of high gain guitar amp noise, humbucking pickups may help.
In case of balanced and unbalanced line noise, isolation transformers may help too.

Re: Starter Bass Amp
Depends on styles involved, and on drum level too (from soft to thunder).
IMOE, in case of rock, or any style approaching, an Ampeg is hard to beat.
