Re: Bleeding tracks
You can send the audio you are recording in two directions. Use the the direct outs to get an unaffected signal to DP. Also, send it to the sub output if you want to hear it with compression if that's how you set it up. Alternatively, you could use the main inserts and put a compressor there. There'...

Re: Bleeding tracks
Usually the best way to get audio out of the Mackie when tracking is to use the direct outs on channels 1-8. That will assure isolation. Another way, but which is more prone to operator error, is to hook your Mackie sub outs to the A/D converters. Then you click in the sub switches on next to your f...

Re: dp7 on a g5 dual 233?
I jumped from DP 3 on OS 9 to DP 7! So I have no idea about the other versions. A friend who has been a consistent DP user told me DP7 has been one of the more stable versions so I'd go for that. By the way, I CAN record a drum track at a 2x64 buffer using DP's Model 12, but if I jump around in the ...

Re: dp7 on a g5 dual 233?
I'm using a Dual 2.0 GHz G5 with 4 Gb RAM and OS 10.5.8. I can't do much at a 2x64 sample buffer...I get the stop playback warning. Fortunately, I'm accustomed to working at a relaxed 1024 buffer and using the Cue mix or real console for monitoring. All in all it seems stable.

Re: Help request to understand levels...
Both Presonus products I own, the M-80 and the Audiobox, each have something screwy about their meters or levels. The Audiobox starts digitally clipping at something like -10 dBu, meaning I need to turn down the volume pot on my guitar with the gain at minimum on the Audiobox. With the M-80 preamps,...

Re: Timing strange when recording bus
Well I opened a new project and repeated the test and the timing issue was gone. I even repeated the UAD-1 test, then deleted those plug-in instances as I had last night, and then repeated the bus timing test. Timing was fine. I will keep an eye on this because I didn't imagine it.

Re: Timing strange when recording bus
I'm glad to know it's not supposed to do that! I'm using DP 7.22 on OS 10.5.8 Before I came across this I was testing the delay compensation with UAD-1 effects (one track with UAD-1 and the other with MOTU fx), reverse the phase and see how well the nulled...down to -121 dBFS. Anyway, I kept the sam...

Timing strange when recording bus
If I assign a track output to a bus, and assign that bus to an input on another track, and then record the bus, The recorded audio is approx 5 seconds later than the original. Delay compensation is on. No effects. 1024 buffer, internal sync with 424 card.

glitch when clicking on inserts
When I click on an insert to open a plug-in window the audio glitches in the form of a short drop out. And on the trim plug-in I can get a quick burst of extra volume. I've tried all different buffer settings besides my usual 1024. This will happen even with only one track in the mixer. I find this ...

Re: trouble running preamp into motu 2408
So what exactly is feeding Mackie channels 1-7? The 2408's outputs? Or are you using Mackie 1-8 to monitor inputs (used as preamps) and 9-16 to monitor the 2408? Is the Radius plugged into the Mackie first and then running direct out to the 2408? Or are you going directly to the 2408 from the Radius...
