glitch when clicking on inserts

Post by GWJen »

When I click on an insert to open a plug-in window the audio glitches in the form of a short drop out. And on the trim plug-in I can get a quick burst of extra volume. I've tried all different buffer settings besides my usual 1024. This will happen even with only one track in the mixer. I find this distracting and a bit unprofessional. I'm using a dual 2.0 Mac G5 PPC running 10.5.8, 4 Gigs RAM, PCI-424 card, DP 7.22. Thanks for any suggestions!

Try running the plugins in real time. This glitch is usual when the plug switches from real time when open, to pre-rendered when closed. You can choose which way you prefer to work, either for individual plugins, or globally.

I prefer to have my preferences set to Run All Plugins in Real Time.

Cheers

What Stephen said. Could also be the delay compensation calculating.

Yes Yes! That was it...needed to be in real time mode. Thank you so much.
