Re: Performance problems, DP8 Win7x64

My point is that dp8 with no fx right out of the gate is a cpu hog. I'm using asio4all with my ultralitemk3 and works much better than motu asio drivers.

Re: Performance problems, DP8 Win7x64

8 gigs is plenty of ram dude. listen -- 1. fire up dp8 2. press play NO VSTI NO FX NOTHING - just an empty session 3.I'll bet your cpu performance meter spikes way up you dont need 8 friggin gigs ram to run NO AUDIO TRACKS NO FX NO VSTI

Re: ASIO error help!!!

Well gents I'm one step up on you guys as I have all motu gear. Asia works, but it's so bogged down I can barely run any vstis as soon as I add a vsti the performance meter in dp8 shoots way up high.

Now I use asio4 for all and it works. Motu should look at asio4all to see how it's done.

win8 64bit ultralite mk3 CPU hog solved!

Ditch the motu asio drivers and run asio4all 512 buffer.

just try it. tell me what happens on your performance load in dp8

Re: why is dp8 such a cpu hog?

thanks everybody for taking time - I checked task manager and right out of the gate open new project no tracks press play and dp8 uses 12% of my cpu. in contrast r e a p e r uses 0.8 (zero point eight) im not here to say reaper is great and dp sucks. I love dp but as of now its killing my comp. the ...

Re: why is dp8 such a cpu hog?

sure - Im running windows 8 with 8 gigs ram on a dual core. my audio interface is an ultralite mk3 im using the current drivers and hardware is updated. I also use reaper and while reaper is a FAR cry from dp8 - I have more than enough processing power. I don't need a lot of vsti and effects. the st...

why is dp8 such a cpu hog?

Ok I haven't even loaded any vsti no audio tracks and my performance levels are already flashing up. Using Motu mk3 ultralite - DP8 is great but I think Motu really gotta optimize this software for its own windows drivers!

reapr win7 ultralite mk3 record main output

Hi, I really like how the mk3 colors my guitar signal, and I'm trying to print it or record it on my track. when i click on the outputs tab <in cuemix> i can add these dynamics. but this doesnt print the effect. when i add the dynamics on the input section of cue mix, it sounds not nearly as good. ho...
