route MIDI from one track to another

Post by proto »

I have 3 channels of MIDI coming into track one vsti from another daw - I want it to also simultaneously go into track 2 with a multi timbral vsti.

if I change the output on vsti 1 track to vsti 2 track then I lose the incoming MIDI notes.

how do I route this? I see the MIDI monitor showing three MIDI tracks of activity but I cant get it to route correctly. do I use MIDI devices to do this?

thanks - proto
