Re: How to install MOTU Legacy interface support in CATALINA
Great to hear that you got it to work and thanks for the tip on Loopback. I will check that out. Thanks for the reply. I got it to work the second time, putting in the password when asked. I had to also install the current MOTU Audio package, since that contains the 64-bit version of CueMix. So for ...

Re: How to install MOTU Legacy interface support in CATALINA
Yeah, I typed in the password in Terminal, but it wasn't clear whether the computer took it or not, as it simply went to another line. I did this step several times and there was one time I didn't enter the password correctly and it said "incorrect password". I also went through the steps ...

Re: How to install MOTU Legacy interface support in CATALINA
Thanks for the info, papageno. I tried all of that, but I still can't get my ultralite mk3 firewire to show up. When I type in sudo -uw / into terminal, it asks for a password. I put the password in and then it just goes to a new line of command. I then open the installer package 1.6 in Pacifist and...

Re: Studio monitor volume control
Awesome! Thanks NazRat, you've solved my problem.
I clicked on the monitor tab on the output page and then I had control of the main out volume after that.
Much appreciated!
Cheers,
Sam

Studio monitor volume control RESOLVED
Is there a way to control the overall output level of the Ultralite MK3 for all applications within a Mac? I've got my monitors set quite low, but the volume is still hideously loud and when I try and adjust the output level in the System Preferences panel, it says that the device (ultralite) has no...

silent recording with tube head
I'm thinking of trying the following:
Tube head > THD Hotplate > Hughes and Kettner Redbox DI > Motu Ultralite line input.
Has anyone done this? If so, did it sound ok?
Would it be better to put the DI into one of the preamps rather than the line in?

Monitoring DP through cuemix
I am recording my band using ultralite mk3, cuemix and dp5.13. I have created 4 separate mix busses in cuemix for the individual musicians. My question is in regards to playback from DP. I have been setting the output of each track to a stereo bus (eg bus1-2) then setting up 4 aux tracks with the in...
