Monitoring DP through cuemix
I am recording my band using ultralite mk3, cuemix and dp5.13.
I have created 4 separate mix busses in cuemix for the individual musicians.
My question is in regards to playback from DP.
I have been setting the output of each track to a stereo bus (eg bus1-2) then setting up 4 aux tracks with the inputs set to bus 1-2 and the outputs set to the appropriate output on the ultralite.
Obviously this means that I am bypassing the master fader in DP.
Is there a better way of doing this?
Is there a way of using the master fader to control the overall level that all musicians will hear?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Sam

Re: Monitoring DP through cuemix
Set up the DP playback mix like this:
Audio tracks>Bus 1-2
Bus 1-2>Aux Track A
Aux Track A>Bus 3-4
Bus 3-4>Aux Track B>Out 1-2
Bus 3-4>Aux Track C>Out 3-4
Bus 3-4>Aux Track D>Out 5-6
Bus 3-4>Aux Track E>Out 7-8
Aux Track A is the group master
The other aux tracks are individual out sub-masters.

Re: Monitoring DP through cuemix
Does this give everyone the same mix of recorded tracks? for overdubs? Just trying to get my head around this one. Not enough coffee this morning. Yet.

Yes, for already recorded tracks, same mix, with just separate level control at the computer for each. They're each getting their own separate mix of the live inputs via the Cuemix console.Pappy725 wrote:Does this give everyone the same mix of recorded tracks?

Thanks, Tim. That's what I thought. Like I said, not enough coffee that morning.
