problem solved! thank you. i've been using dp for a few years now, and every once and a while i'll mash the keyboard on accident and trigger some inconvenient quirk.
imagine how i felt the first time i accidentally turned off all the view filters! haha.

orchestral mixed with metal
a metal band i recorded wanted some orchestral arranging to accompany one of their songs. i think it came out pretty neat. the band sure was pleased with the results. here is a quick sample: http://www.filefreak.com/files/90894_vlv9n/orchestral%20arr..mp3 All orchestral sounds were done with Motu Sy...

Re: guitar amp simulator software for use with DP
Yipes... I think this is why I sort of gave up on using guitar plug-ins because of the lag. I'm on a dual G5 and to lower my buffer down to something sort of playable it taxes my system. But even a little latency when playing guitar bugs the hell out of me. :( Especially when you're trying to do a ...

Re: guitar amp simulator software for use with DP
The best Metal tones in a plugin (IMO!!!) are coming from Revalver MkIII. Sounds Huge and blows away Guitar Rig and POD for metal stuff I downloaded the demo of revalver and i'm loving it!! i like how the JSX sounds. It takes a few minutes to tweak, but i'm very impressed with it! The full version ...

Re: guitar amp simulator software for use with DP
i have. to be honest, i was very disappointed with it. the main reason i upgraded to DP7 was for the guitar simulation, but i find it fairly unusable for what i'm trying to do. it works ok with clean guitar tone, or moderate gain. but for higher gain hard rock/metal tones, its extremely noisy and t...

guitar amp simulator software for use with DP
i want a good guitar amplifier simulator for recording ideas on my laptop when i'm on the go. i am intent on having usable software over hardware to minimize setup. i'm mainly going to need a modern high gain guitar tone. comparable to something like a modern marshall or mesa cranked way up. any rec...

Re: assigining different devices for inputs and outputs
i solved my issue. i highlighted both the "built in audio" and "lightsnake" under configure hardware driver. by doing that, each track in the sequence gives me the option of selecting either the built in audio, or lightsnake. i just set the audio tracks accordingly, and i'm makin...

Re: assigining different devices for inputs and outputs
under the configure hardware driver...what should i have selected as far as master device? i can get it to work in garageband, so i know the lightsnake isn't broken...i just configure the input to the lightsnake, and enable monitoring and voila...i have signal. but i really want to use the DP amp si...
