Re: New products: 1248, 8M, 16A ... ASIO question
There's a pretty good thread going on over at gearslutz about these new audio interfaces. Reading the entire thread would be pretty informative, and I believe you will see answers to your question there . MOTU employees have also chimed in with informative posts. You might want to go there via the l...

Re: Need Power Chord For Avalon VT 737 SP
Thank you all for replying! I called Avalon Design and they informed me that I could used any power chord similar to the one shown in the pic posted by mikehalloran. I'm keeping the unit, it's in good working order. The seller forgot to place the power chord in the box, and the only other thing that...

Need Power Chord For Avalon VT 737 SP
Hi all: I really hope someone can help me here. I recently purchased one of these units used from EBay for $1700. It was supposed to include the power chord, but the unit arrived today with no power chord. Needless to say I'm trying to resolve this matter ASAP with the seller. In the mean time, I'm ...

Re: MOTU UltraLite MK3 weird background noise when entering
Hi: Just for the record, you have an UltraLite MK3 Hybrid, not a UltraLite MK3, that's what I have, an UltraLite MK3. :) Now, to address your problem. If you're using the UltraLite for the default Windows playback device, Windows will use the WDM or WaveRT driver for the UltraLite. Ableton may be us...

Re: Motu Ultralite Mk3 firewire & Motu Ultralite Mk3 Hybrid
Is there any difference between the first Motu Ultralite Mk3 with firewire only and the Ultralite mk3 hybrid besides the latest have usb2 and firewire instead of firewire only? It's hard to find information of the early version. The only difference appears to be as you noted, that the MK3 has two f...

Re: Ultralite mk3 FW - can't update firmware
Hi: I have an UltraLite-MK3, and as far as I know, there never was a firmware update for the UltraLite-MK3. There was only one for the UltraLite (1st model released), and the UltraLite-MK3 Hybrid. I checked the MOTU site for years since I got my UltraLite-MK3, and there never was a firmware update f...

Re: 896 Mk3 and 8Pre Phantom Power
Maybe you have a defective unit (the 896). Is it too late to return it for a replacement?
Then, try the 896 by itself without integrating the 8Pre with it. Also try the 8Pre by itself. Is the phantom power issue present when you try each unit by itself?

Re: Recording sound from internet to Ultralite
Hi Finland Blue: Here's one setup that will allow you to record audio streams from the Internet: - Setup Windows default playback device as MOTU Analog 1/2 and select "Properties" for MOTU Analog 1/2 and make sure 44.1 KHz is selected under sample rates of the "supported formats"...

Re: New Drivers 4.0.42114 dated 14/07.2010
I have the UltraLite-MK3. I have this driver build installed and the performance I'm getting is excellent! Running heavy demo projects and personal projects at 64 samples with no pops, clicks, or crackles. In the SONAR forum, a user has reported that this driver build fixed a horrendus latency issue...

Re: Motu 8pre pops, drop-outs, on all sound players
A TI (Texas Instruments) firewire port chipset is what you should use. You should go download and run a program called DPC Latency checker. It is a program that monitors device drivers bad behavior which causes audio programs to have clicks, pops, and drop outs. Run it and see if you get any reading...

Re: PB ultralite and FW
In Device Manager under IEEE 1394 Bus Host Controllers, make sure you have the driver named "1394 OCHI Compliant Host Controller (Legacy)" showing as being installed. If you do have this one installed, I can't think of what may be your problem, as the Ultralaite used to work for you on the...

Re: No mic inputs in CueMix. Firmware upgrade problems in mk3
Yeah, it's as 1nput0utpt says. The XLR input on the front and back of the unit are called Analog 1 and 2 in CueMix FX, and they are the two inputs with the built in preamps for Mics to be connected to them without having to use a separate outboard preamp. I guess the Utralite-mk3 manual needs to be ...

Re: MAD AS HELL WHY "NO AUDIO DEVICE FOUND"
I BOUGHT MOTU ULTRALITE MK3 LAST NIGHT AND VISTA WILL NOT DETECT THE AUDIO DEVICE VIA FIREWIRE. NOW I AM NOT SURE IF THIS IS VISTA OR THE MOTU OR BOTH, I AM USING THE ONBOARD FIREWIRE, SHOULD I BUY PCI FIREWIRE CARD IF SO WHICH ONE? SHOULD I TRY A FIRE TO USB CABLE WILL THAT WORK??? I AM SO FUSTRAT...
