Re: FIX: Running Motu FW devices in XP SP2, SP3
Well gang, I gave it a year. I spent the better part of my ownership time with this MOTU Traveler trying to work around its neverending issues with WinXP SP3. I finally threw in the towel last week and bought an RME Fireface400. I can't tell you how happy I am now!!! No issues whatsoever. Follow the...

Re: Third Party 1394 bus controller drivers for XP and Vista
Noisegate,
Best of luck in finding a solid interface on Windows. Please let us know what you end up with so that those of us that are beyond frustrated with the MOTU gear can get an idea of what DOES work with this OS. Thanks!

Jeff

See my reply here that references a Cakewalk forum that explains this lingering driver issue with the MOTU uninstall process.

Re: How to record audio from a WinXP application like Guitar Pro
And here's the answer as it pertains to using Reaper as your DAW of choice: Set guitar pro to use rearoute 1/2, then add a track in reaper and set its input to rearoute 1/2. If you havent got rearoute installed, reinstall reaper and make sure its ticked in the installer options. Thanks to the Reaper...

How to record audio from a WinXP application like Guitar Pro
Hey guys, So I am using Guitar Pro with the built in RSE sound samples and have it set to use the ASIO drivers for my MOTU Traveler (Mk I). I currently have audio playback in WinXP SP3 set to Analog 1-2. I am using the latest version of the Reaper DAW to do all my recording. I wanted to record the s...

Re: Does anyone have MIDI GS Wavetable playback?
THANK YOU, Mark! I was not aware of that. I erroneously though that the GS Wavetable was more than just soundfonts and actually contained the sample data needed for playback. I was thinking this was for people who did not have hardware wavetable as part of their soundcards. Thanks for solving the my...

Does anyone have MIDI GS Wavetable playback?
Hey guys, So I went through a complete reinstall of WinXP SP3 on a new hard drive. I also installed 3.6.7.4 drivers and the AVT 1394 drivers with my Traveler Mk 1. I had to actually enable the AC97 audio hardware on my mobo in order to be able to even see the Microsoft GS Wavetable option for MIDI p...

Re: Help! MS Wavetable SW Synth is gone now!
For more info.. it appears that ALL of the MS kernel audio drivers are now missing... but the MOTU versions are listed. So I'm not exactly sure what happened. Somehow I need to get all the kernel audio drivers back. Please let me know if someone knows how to do this. Thanks!

Help! MS Wavetable SW Synth is gone now!
Hey guys, Just when I thought I had beat my MOTU drivers into submission, they come right back and F things up for me again. This time it appears that they have somehow managed to clobber the MS Wavetable Synth in WinXP SP3. Meaning that I no longer have the ability to select that as a MIDI output i...

Re: FIX: Running Motu FW devices in XP SP2, SP3
I wish I could say the same for my Traveler. Unfortunately, the dropouts and squeal are still here for me, though lessened in severity and rate of occurence, but still there way too often for my liking. What a pity that something that I had pinned all my hopes (and cash) on turned out to be such a P...

Re: Third Party 1394 bus controller drivers for XP and Vista
Thanks, HotShot. I'll try to try these out tonight, but what Mark is saying about why ASIO is not working has me concerned. I really need to see if there is something else trying to use the ASIO driver when I try to load Reaper or my Drum Samples stuff using Kontact.
Thanks,
Jeff
