How good are M4 drivers for Windows?
Hello, I'm considering purchasing the M4 for my Windows 10 computer. I currently have a (no-longer-supported) UltraLite mk3, firewire edition. Although I am happy with the unit's build and audio quality, the drivers and cueMix software have been nothing but headaches. Before I stay in the MOTU famil...

Re: No sound outside my Daw in Motu Ultralite MK3 win 10
Hello, I just saw your post. Have you found a solution? It's been awhile since your post, but just in case, I would suggest you take a look at Windows' Sound Settings to ensure the MOTU's Main Outs are selected. I attached a screen shot. You can also access that function by right-clicking on the ico...

Re: Ultralite MK5
Good morning, Is your mk5 MIDI issue resolved? I'm curious because I'm considering buying one to replace my mk3. I'm also looking at a Focusrite Scarlett unit, instead. At this point, the deciding factor is going to be how good the software and drivers are. Thanks for your input, and have a great day.

Is there a way to stop ultralite mk3 mic to be heard in headphones?
Hello, I can't figure out how to configure cueMix so I don't hear myself speaking in the microphone when wearing headphones. I'm using an UltraLite mk3 (firewire-only version, before the hybrid came out), and Windows 10. Last drivers for it are 4.0.6.6814. Attached are screenshots of the various cue...

Re: No audio from VSTIs with MOTU UltraLite mk3 in Cubase 4.5.2
OK, according to Mike at MOTU, the fault lies with the drivers. Here is his answer to my question: Unfortunately, this is a known issue with the latest Firewire/USB 2 drivers. When utilizing the ASIO drivers, each output is offset by one stereo pair. We expect to address this behavior with a future ...

Re: No audio from VSTIs with MOTU UltraLite mk3 in Cubase 4.5.2
Here's an interesting bit. I switched outputs, connecting the monitors to Analog Outs 1-2, instead of Main Outs 1-2, and voila, everything is sounding out as it should. Kinda makes me wonder what's the purpose of the Main Outs plugs. I've got a Tech Note posted on MOTU's Web site. It should be inter...

Re: Balancing inputs with CueMix ...
Hey there, I'm a newbie with the UltraLite as well, so my suggestion might not be the best, but have you tried the input trims from within CueMix? Each input channel as a digital trim knob you can use to lower the input signal, independently from the actual output level. Check it out and see what ha...

Re: No audio from VSTIs with MOTU UltraLite mk3 in Cubase 4.5.2
Hello, again, I've re-installed the drivers several times with no luck. I've played around with the settings in CueMix -- monitor on, monitor off, etc. ... -- but no go. In Cubase, I've even deleted all the buses and recreated them, turned off ASIO and re-enabled it, but no luck whatsoever. I've tri...

Re: No audio from VSTIs with MOTU UltraLite mk3 in Cubase 4.5.2
Thanks for the tip about Control Room, RealRoach. I turned it off. Yes, all the VSTi's outputs are routed to Stereo Out and the MOTU is selected under Device Setup. I'm not getting any audio out of Cubase, except from my MIDI-triggered Korg Triton. The meters in the instrument tracks do peak, though...

SOLVED: No audio from VSTIs with MOTU UltraLite mk3
Hello, folks, I recently upgraded to a MOTU UltraLite mk3 audio interface and I can't get any sound from VSTIs in Cubase 4.5.2. I suspect it's an output routing issue, but I can't figure out where the link is broken. Here's the setup: 1/ Korg Triton Extreme connected to the UltraLite via MIDI and an...
