Re: 896mk3 & SPDIF questions
Thanks much 1nput0utput. It worked perfectly. Just the occasional click/pop when the sound first starts. My only dilemma had to do with the PC rather than the rest of the setup. I hooked up a SPDIF bracket to the digital out header on the motherboard and it caught on fire. Well maybe not fire but th...

Re: 896mk3 & SPDIF questions
So basically as I understand it; as long as I have the same bit-rate and sampling rate, (24-bit/96khz or 24-bit/48khz) going into the unit in say a PCM format, I shouldn't have any issues? Forgive my ignorance but not having a wordclock on my PC will not create any problems? Again let me say that I ...

896mk3 & SPDIF questions
This might sound quite dumb but here goes. I have an 896mk3 and a Presonus DigiMax FS for expansion with all inputs being used. I also have a ART Digital MPA-II on the AES/EBU input. They are all linked via BNC for wordclock. Occasionally when not recording, we'd like to use the setup to just listen...

Re: Reverb on the 896mk3
Hmm .. well that sucks! At 96khz I get a message in the window "Reverb only available at 1x sample rates." When I switch it to 48khz I get normal reverb window then BSOD about a minute later. Only thing is that I have lots of hard drives so we record everything in 96khz (16x 24bit/96khz) A...

Reverb on the 896mk3
Is it just me or is the onboard reverb not available at a 96khz setting through CueMix on the 896mk3? Trying to give the boys some reverb through the vocal monitors but we record off the floor at 96khz. Am I missing something?

Re: Download MOTU 896 mk3 manual
It's all right guys. I didn't mean to swat a bee's nest when asking about the manual. I'd just assumed that almost every other manufacturer posts PDFs of their manuals that MOTU would too. I won't lie, I do have the original manual in storage but I just wanted something to read on down time at work....

Re: Combining an 896mk3 and a 8pre
I am kind of curious to hear results on this as I just picked up an 896mk3 on the weekend and was looking into into a 8pre for additional inputs. My first question was how to connect them (firewire or ADAT) I use Sonar as well.
