Re: Problems with DP 6.02
Well, before I am unceremoniously dumped from the site I will say that I do appreciate it's existence and efforts towards providing a forum for MOTU users of all stripes to find possible solutions for problems, share concerns, make suggestions and laud the strengths of the program. I also understand...

Re: Problems with DP 6.02
Where to begin....I will send the crash logs to MOTU the next chance I get--thanks for that reply. Also, to Mr. Steele-at no point in my post did I either 'publicly bludgeon' or 'slander' MOTU. I was simply reporting on the frequent, random problems that I am having with the program while at the sam...

Problems with DP 6.02
A bit of background before I get into the full post. I purchased my first mac desktop (see below) in February after 7yrs of being a generally happy Cakewalk/Sonar (pc) user. I always built my own recording computers and only used them for recording related applications. It was only in the last days ...

Busses in the Mixing Board
As a new DP user (who IS reading the manual) I am having trouble getting busses to appear in the Mixing Board. After assigning a track to a bus, I figured it should just appear in the Mixing Board (or at least in the track selector so I can select it) but this is not the case. Right now (after many ...

Re: MAS fails to load
Thanks for the suggestions....it seems that it came down to an interrupt conflict based on where my interface and ilok were plugged in.
By switching around where I plugged-in these USB and fw devices, I solved the problem.

MAS fails to load
I am having a bit of random trouble with DP loading up. What has been happening (with no changes in configuration) is that the MAS will load all of the plug-ins and then hang on the last one (alphabetically) and then after about 20 seconds, tell me that the audio hardware did not respond. The two op...

Re: Time Stretching for Remixing
Thanks for the suggestions. I could get a BPM for the original but what a waste of time!!! The original BPM is really irrelevant....all I want to do is go through the soundbites and manually adjust each one, slice by slice. I guess DP doesn't have this simple function. Do I need to use another progr...

Time Stretching for Remixing
I am trying to take some vocals tracks from a dance track and increase the tempo for a remix. I was hoping that the beats window (inside the waveform editor) would do the trick but moving the transient markers there does not affect the audio (the manual reassures me that this does not affect the aud...

Re: Importing Audio
Thanks---for the link. It seems that for whatever reason, it is best to copy an audio file to the internal HD's before trying to import them into the project.
Never had to do this before in other DAW's but it seems to be a necessary step in DP.

Importing Audio
Just got into using DP and bought a powerful MacPro to run it. The problem I am having is when I try to import audio. Each and every time I try to place audio into a track, I get a "Disk error-Disk full" message. I have a TB of hard disk space and 16gB of RAM. What is going on with DP that...
