Re: UAD-1 maxing out very easily

Just a quick question, are the UADs working any better in the faster G5 machines? I know there was an update to the software that said it improved performance in G5 computers. I have a dual 2.5 and would love to add a second UAD, but if things aren't any better than they were, I'm pretty sure I can ...

Re: totally OT (again) - sorry James

They did this a couple of weeks back in Northern California to drum up business after the finger incident. They are free, tiny, but free! I went in and ordered two large chili's and two free Frosty's!!

Re: Is the Tascam US 224 a good solution ?

I mainly use the 224 for its MIDI inputs and the transport controls. However, the faders work fine for simple mixing and it's easy to switch banks in DP and have it follow along. For basic stuff it works. I think DP actually implement's the US224 better than Logic, at least Logic 6 haven't used it a...

Re: How do I burn MIDI Tracks to CD?

You need to create audio files from the MIDI tracks first. Route them to an audio track, or better yet, separate audio tracks, and record them as audio. Then select them for the bounce to disc and you should be fine.

Re: Best Plugins? TC powercore firewire?

Okay, I have NO idea which one of these sounds better, but, since certain plugins mentioned above have free demos, it would make sense to download those and see if you like what you're hearing. If not, then bite the bullet and pay for the Powercore module, and, as far as I know, you will have to hav...

Re: In honor of the folks in Cambridge...

I agree, this discussion doesn't belong in this forum and was hesitant about making any response. I certainly did not want it to become political, simply a topic that, for personal reasons, I feel very strongly about and I felt compelled to add an opinion. James, I think the point is well taken that...

Re: In honor of the folks in Cambridge...

Actually, I have to agree and disagree with Shooshie, we need to train police better regarding the potential effects of non-lethal weapons. A lot of times non-lethal weapons training doesn't cover the "what if" scenarios that police need to be aware of. Non-lethal weapons can be a great to...
