I hope this driver will get rid of the drop-outs and the high pitched beeps on my 828mk3:!:

Does Logic crash, or will the audio just drop out?
I have had horrible problems with the 828mk3 and using with logic 8. it will randomly drop out with any app, and start outputting horrible high-pitched beeps. very frustrated..

Also, registering a used Motu product is a pain in the ass!!

Don't have a 828mkIII yet, but I have a Mackie Onyx mixer with the firewire and on that mixer you definately CAN't do do anything to the signal going into the DAW. Looks like the Motu will replace my Mackie Onyx mixer, which has been my interface ever since I switched from protools to logic! Mc Mix looks like the ideal control surface for the Quemix software.. stellar
