Try to replace drivers for your IEEE1394 controller with "1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller (Legacy)". It worked for me.

If anything, they've made the situation worse as I can't get Vista to recognise the Ultralite-mk3 as present. Click on the MOTU Audio Console and it appears to recognise that the Ultralite-mk3 is there and my DAW seems to know about it too, but it doesn't show up in the list of audio playback/recor...
