Well, I tried the power reset idea, and sadly, the same thing happens, the 24io boots up with all the LEDs lit then settles down to 44k flashing. Not sure where that leaves me.
Thanks, and any other suggestions welcomed.

Thanks Mike, I'll give that a try when I'm back in the studio next week. Much appreciated.mikehalloran wrote:Did you try a voltage reset? Scroll down on this page.

PCI 424, 24io - Suddenly not functional
Greetings all. Could use some advice please... Yesterday, all was well, short session, powered all down for the night. Today, fired the Win7-64 system back up, and the 24io simply flashes 44.1 I searched about here, saw the post about clock source (switch to something other than normal then switch b...

Re: New drivers 4.0.5.0323
I'm going to take a stab at it tonight. I have to agree, knowing what's changed/improved/fixed would be a load off my mind and incentive to keep upgrading.billruys wrote:Nice, I'll give it a go today.
I really, really wish that MOTU would include a change log with their drivers.
Cheers

PCI424 with 2 2408s and Reaper - no digital IO
Hi, I am posting for a friend, he wanted to compare Reaper 4.1 x64 to DP7 (lets not go there in this topic!). Of course, he has a MacPro, with Snow Leopard, and the latest drivers/updates. All is good in DP7, he sees all his IO, both analog and digital on both 2408s. But in Reaper, he can only see t...

That was my suspicion... not a huge deal... my last interface was capable of switching back.1nput0utput wrote:Unfortunately, I don't think there's a way to make it do that.

PCI424 fallback to 44k
Hi, had a search on this, but no apparent hits... I run my 424/24io at 24/96 in Cubase, works lovely. When I close Cubase, is there anyway for the driver to default back down to 44k for the sake of Windoze autmatically? Currently I have to manually switch back, not a great effort, just looking for a...

Was this only in the Wintel world or did the Mac drivers cough too?

Dang! I reformatted... shame on me for not checking here first. Ah well, time for a cleanup anyway. Everything was backed up so no worries, just a few extra pots of Coffee!

Accckkk! Just found the other thread about this!
Sorry Folks! Its a driver issue. Still it would be nice to know WHY the drivers need to be installed before the hardware each time!

Drivers then Hardware?
Hi everyone, Finally got my PCI424 card and my 24io and am quite happy, well, at least up until XP croaked on me last Friday. I did a search on this forum but could not find an answer to my specific question, so here goes. I reinstalled XP (clean install, all updates, blah blah) but then I remembere...

Older PCI-424 Cards and compatiblity with 24i/o
Greetings all, I searched a little but could not find specifics on this thought, so I am asking now... I am looking to purchase the 24i/o as I have lots of analog requirements, and a good friend has several PCI-424 cards, one of which he can part with, but he cautioned me that they are quite old, he...

Re: MACKIE 24 8 paired with a MOTU 24 I|O WHAT NOW?!
Hey guys! Not to hijack this thread too much, but I am actually looking at the 24io as a mate to my Mackie 24 8 bus... but I am running WinXP 32bit on Intel hardware (Quad core 6600/Asus MoBo) - I am using Cubase 5 (and previously 4) with no issues - I have recorded 8 inbound streams of 24/96 along ...

Re: Pops, crackles and distortion with MOTU 24IO
Just curious if this one got resolved, did you patch Cubase to 5.0.1? Reverence is a resource pig, even after the patch it still demands a lot of resources. What is the result if you run a plain mix, no plugs, just audio files? I am seriously considering a move to MOTU for the 24io and am currently ...
