Greetings all, I searched a little but could not find specifics on this thought, so I am asking now...
I am looking to purchase the 24i/o as I have lots of analog requirements, and a good friend has several PCI-424 cards, one of which he can part with, but he cautioned me that they are quite old, he thought there might be compatibility issues with the 24i/o rack module.
Basically I intend to purchase the card from him and the rack unit used from a public source. So can anyone advise on this? Are their different ROM or chip version concerns at all in this scenario? I did read that early in the initial roll-out that there were a few people who had their units replaced, but I am not sure if it was the card or the box that was at fault.
I know lots of folks here having success with this arrangement in the Wintel world, and am also aware of motherboard/chipset issues some have had.. just trying to avoid problems ahead of the game.
Thanks in advance.
