. Every time I do this I get a kit that sounds like it's being phased in some way. I've heard of problems with the 02r sending erratic latency offsets to the host DAW...this could be another plausible reason for the phasing artefacts......(apparently the new drivers sort this out?) ebay for the memory...get the same stuff as you just mentioned above regarding external drives....get a usb one as it wont be messing up your firewire bus (tho i've heard that the powermacs have two or three spearate fw busses so, i probably wouldn't worry.....ebay as well.....7200rpm should be fine...

88.2/96 is quite noticeably better than 44.1....and i would challenge all the naysayers to try this.......... put a steep low pass filter at 18kHZ on a sound source (recorded and mixed and playing back at 96/192)...notice the difference?!? this is exactly what happens when a sound source is reproduc...
