Re: Can't Bounce Movie with mix.
I went to the Download section at MOTU website and at the music software section for DP selected “older versions” and downloaded DP 9.52. I bounced out the .wav mix of the music I made in DP 10. Then quit 10, opened 9 and imported the mix and movie, lined ‘em up and bounced out the movie. It seems r...

Re: Can't Bounce Movie with mix.
Crickets! ...guess it's something to do with incompatibility with my set-up and DP.10. My interim fix is thus: Downloaded and installed DP 9.52 again (thank you, MOTU!). When I'm done with my mix in 10.13, I import the movie and mix to 9.52 and bounce out there. Just tried it and it worked fine that...

Can't Bounce Movie with mix.
Hi All, I tried to bounce out a post score with the QT movie I locked to in DP and nothing's happening. I can successfully bounce .wavs, MP3s, etc. I haven't tried to do a movie bounce since mid-2020, had DP9.X till then and don't remember any issues, then upgraded to DP10.X and mixed a ton of music...

Nectar Impact LX+ Series?
Anyone using one of these controllers hooked up with DP? Happy with it?
I need to replace my worn out M-Audio Pro88 and the LX88P looks good and inexpensive.
... just can't find a specific DP-related review, demo or Youtube.
Thanks.

Re: Aux Ch. Plug-in issues with 9.52: Slate & Kush RESOLVED
Got it, Phil – thanks. In the context of my post (including the emoji) I hoped it was clear I was having fun pointing the stink finger at none other than myself. Again. Although I held the dubious honor of being the first user to chance upon a bug in DP about 20 years ago, any flies in the ointment ...

Re:Aux Ch. Plug-in issues with 9.52: Slate & Kush RESOLVED
Due to the empathetic and loving response I received... zero... I'll explain how I finally got my stuff working: First, had to get my head around the 9.1x Next Gen pre-gen protocol. Duh, missed that on the way from 9.02 to 9.52. Aux track plug-ins are real time only . It's the law. (Was it always th...

Aux Ch. Plug-in issues with 9.52: Slate & Kush RESOLVED
Hi, Question: Anybody have issues with Aux channel inserts behaving differently with plugs than individual audio tracks? Moved up to 9.52 from 9.02 last week. Everything worked swell in 9.02. I run my mixes through a "Premaster" Aux channel immediately preceding the Master mix buss; I've d...

Re: Tip to avoid processor spikes in DP 9.13
While I'm at it: one oddity for me was that spikes/stuttering always happened at the same part of the song I was mixing – as if pressure was building during certain measures. Nothing special going on with automation or anything I could discern. Was your experience anything like that, David?

Re: Tip to avoid processor spikes in DP 9.13
Although I don't use Amplitude or S Gear plugs, I had so much stuttering and spiking (with 9.02) using multiple instances of Slate VerbSuite I stopped using it. Slate tech support couldn't figure it out, either, so I think the problem is with DP. Or rather, my failure to run DP correctly. Re: "...

Re: Time to update... or leave it alone?
Mike,
By re-naming the "earlier install" I simply add the version suffix to the where it says "Digital Performer" in my HD/Applications folder?

Gosh, sorry this was a problem, David. I didn't encounter it when I downloaded and didn't give it a second thought. Glad it worked out OK.

Time to update... or leave it alone?
Hi Motunationals, A project fell through and I have a whole week free to mess my life up installing updates – after a year of fairly smooth sailing via OS 10.10.5 and DP 9.01. ( ...a few glitches and crashes but I am so very grateful for the 21st century tools at our disposal. Without them, I'd have...

Re: Best Drum VI or library for Jazz brush ballad?
Best results for me (besides a real drummer and 2 mics): "Purrrfect Brushes" — genuine sounding and cheap ($19), works in Kontakt. http://www.studiocat.com/open_cart/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=63 I use it for more than jazz, but speaking of technique—great jazz drummers...
