Re: What the.. ? Suddenly my 828 mk3 takes ages to startup!

Strange, when I turned on the unit today, it loaded quick and easily (computer off)! But, when I was trying to play a project in reaper, which I was mixing with the 828 btw, it said no-go. I turned off the 828 and tried to turned it on again - same problem: 5 minutes to load cuemix, and it wouldn´t ...

What the.. ? Suddenly my 828 mk3 takes ages to startup!

Please, please help me out on this! Went to the studio today to record some drums. I havent used my 828 mk3 for a few weeks now, and thought it was time. But when I turn on the unit it takes ages to load - about 3-4 minutes, and it can´t process audio! The firmware is 1.06. This happens also when th...

Noisy headphone o/p and a strange sinewave tone on all inputs.
Everything works great now, tried to record all analog inputs with lots of vst/vstis going on. Not a hickup. Using high buffers though.

I´m on a ordinary HP pavilion laptop (5400 rpm hd) with vista home. Perhaps I´m lucky..

Cool. Had problems with my first unit. Sent it to the US from Sweden on a monday, got a new unit on friday the same week! Everything works smoothly (and sounds great!) with 1.05, and my fw-chipset is the infamous NEC. Couldn´t be happier. Will update to 1.06 though. What issues will this upgra...

I believe the "noisy Headphone Out is a known issue with the 828MK3. There you go. Thanks for the response! I think I´m being a little an-l about this. For example, if I monitor every analog input and then record them, I hear this sinewave tone actually recorded on the tracks, buried within th...

and I´ve updated the firmware to 1.05. I´ve got this problem also when I run it standalone mode. This sinewave tone is almost inaudible, but builds up when recording more tracks onto my daw (ie the the "tone" leaks into the inputs). Damn it - bought through a guy, who bought from the US. H...

Almost very happy 828 mk3 user.

Hi, after updating the firmware this problem is reduced, but still there: on the headphones output is a sinewave tone going on in the background, very low - yet irritating. Every other in- and outputs works like a charm, btw! I asked Motu tech support about this, they suggested to switch off, then o...
