Re: Bidule Latency
"Yes, make sure that you have your MIDI cabled to the rewire outputs and not the Bidule MIDI ports." Hello everyone. I'm late to this topic (and fairly new to Bidule). I have the latency issues, too. Can you explain (or point me to the appropriate topic regarding) the Bidule rewire outputs...

24 bit encoding in DP5 Bounce To Disk?
This is a really basic question, and I'm sorry to sound like such a newb, but... If I have a 24-bit file, do I have to first convert it to 16-bit before using DP5's MP3 bounce to disk (with LAME)? Or can the bounce to disk deal with a 24-bit file? If I do have to convert to 16, can I go to MP3 in on...

I was going to suggest Reason as well and then I remembered all of my OMS/Free MIDI nightmares. It's been a while so I can't remember the exact issues Yes, there were definitely issues! I had to run an OMS emulator in order for Rewire to be happy and link to DP, but everything worked fine for me. I...

Re: Losing Rewire Connection
Do you loose your Rewire connection in DP. It happens to me almost every time and I can't figure out why. It only happens when the patch I'm changing is a combinator one. I'm having this problem RIGHT NOW! I signed onto this board tonight to see if anyone had any suggestions. I don't even have to b...

Yep...go with Reason 2.5
Just thought I'd chime in and agree with the others who suggested Reason 2.5. I used it for two years with my Mac G3/450. It was the only software sampler I could find that would run under OS 9 (I seem to remember that MachFive either required OS X or a faster processor). I used CDXtract to convert ...

I've been getting the same multi-language crash myself. I'm not sure yet if it depends on the size/complexity of a project. Pretty brutal crash, though; the ominous dark screen...audio freezes then stutters...downright frightening. I'll try the repair permissions thing. (I'm not a Mac newbie, but I ...

the Apple FirewireAudio driver that has been problematic for a lot of interfaces This is an interesting point. From my experience, the volume surges started back with DP 3.1 and Reason 2.5. One common element in my setups has been a Firewire interface (though different ones). Guess I don't have any...

Volume surge w/DP, Reason & GPO
Hi everyone, When running DP, Reason & GPO, I frequently get a weird volume surge (usually in Reason) that lasts for a measure or two. Then the volume drops back down to normal. Oddly, I don't have very many CC7 messages in my sequence, so I'm not sure what's causing it. Any advice? I'm new to t...
