I just bounced a track today that utilized my LiquidMix and it rendered in real time... in 5.13 of course.

Thanks, all of those methods worth fine, I just thought it would be nifty since DP already identified all the non-pitched areas that they could then be easily selected and modified. If this is not the case, please add it in the new version!

Muting unpitched segements when using PureDSP

Hey everybody, I got stuck here. I am trying to record some vocals of myself (eeek!) so naturally I started using the Quantize Pitch command!! It was surprisingly easy and effective on my vocals, but I am left with a question- http://homepage.mac.com/chris_reilly/.Pictures/Picture%201.png See the ni...

So is there anything for a master controller that isn't in the price range of the PC-2?? I have an Axoim 25 now and is works nicely, but I really would like 88 or 76 keys in front of me. Anything around $500-800?

its funny to me that GS isn't used by more DP folk because I see DP as the sequencer of choice for the film/TV scoring set, and GS as historically the best/only way to make gigantic orchestra mockups. I love K2 because of the sound manipulation tools, flexibility, scripting, and everything else it o...

I have NI 3... why do they send out updates and then have me authorize all over again... On top of that the authorizations fail the first few times. Unlike some others I do like the product... So what are people using instead of NI? Is anybody running the new Gigastudio 4 on their Mac? http://www.t...

I have LiquidMix and have been very pleased with the quality of the emulations (haven't got to A:B test with a UAD card tho) I run an iMac so PCI isn't an option. I wish it was, because I have had a number of issues running it daisy chained through my firewire port on my 896HD. Too much data on the ...

I can't speak for the c4 at all, but I can say that my mackie control has not been as well supported in DP as other DAWs, so I am suspicious that the c4 would work great... but that is just a baseless opinion so take it for what its worth!

But do you think that our children will walk into a record store and pay $17.98 or whatever inflation will be in 20 years for an album? I personally can't remeber the last time I was at a music store and I consume a whole lotta music. iTunes, Amazon, buying music straight from the performers, etc ar...

Thanks for the info, all! I will probably just grab an SM7 or RE20 (RE20 seems a little more popular) which both seem to have the plosives and silibance under control (my old black sock wasn't so effective... ) I guess I like the idea of tracking with a limiter so I can run the trim a little hotter ...

In Pro Tools, if you control apple click any parameter on a plug in, it brings up that parameter automation in the edit window...this save a huge amount of time as opposed to scrolling down through hundred of atuomation parameters..DP needs that badly... Man you ARE Too-dam-hip! That's one of the b...

Synthfreak, I know this doesn't help, but I have a question for you: have you been able to run Logic 8 successfully with Built In Audio? I am wondering if you are having any issues running L8 on 10.5. Actually, kind to think of it, I think that L8 on 10.4 when I first installed it defaulted to built...

Tracking for Corporate audio work

Howdy, I have recently been doing some work for a corporate training video and also some messaging-on-hold work. I would like to do a lot more of this work so maybe I could quit my stupid day job!!!! Right now, my front end consists of a MXL-2003 going straight into my 896HD. My vocal talent says it...

I don't really see how this is any more interesting or usefull than an MBox Mini. If I'm using ProTools on the road I'm still going to have to have my laptop, and the Mini would easily fit into a laptop bag and also offer inputs and outputs. It may be slightly more awkward when sitting in an airpla...

Shooshie, Exactly!! If I could basically run Logic/Mainstage as a VI rack and route MIDI through IAC or something it would be RAD. Maybe that would work... I'll report in. The key split tracking is crazyberry (crazyberry is also the Seattle rip-off of the infamous LA Pinkberry, oh so delicious plain...
