Can i use my Traveler as a monitor switcher?
i just added a pair of monitors to my setup, and before i run out and buy a dedicated device, i wanted to know if i could some how use my Traveler to act as a monitor switcher. if Outputs 1-2 are my mains, and 3-4 are my second pair, can i tell DP with maybe an aux track, or CueMix Console to turn o...

Tracks window - moving multiple tracks simultaneously
i couldn't find this in the forum archives, so i thought i'd ask: is there a way, in the DP Tracks window, to move more than one track at a time? meaning, i have 3 inputs on an acoustic guitar, and want to move them all to the top of my track listings. yes, i can move them one by one, but i was wond...

sustain on solo cello tips?
hey, i'm relatively new to MSI. is there anyway to create a realistic sounding long sustain using the solo cello sound? unlike the ensemble celli, the solo cello sample ends after about 5 seconds. if i repeat the note, i get the full attack, which i don't want, rather than the bow direction switch/f...

Bidule with one MacIntel and one PowerPC?
i've got a powerBook (1.25).
i'm about to buy a MacPro.
all my plugs are UB except PSP's Vintage Warmer.
can i run Vintage Warmer on the PowerBook, run DP on the MacPro and use Bidule to connect both machines?

Universal substitute for Vintage Warmer?
i can't stand waiting for PSP to announce a UB for Vintage Warmer. they've been saying that they've "been working on it" since March.
is there any analog/tube/tape simulator that you would recommend that is a universal binary?

do non Universal Binary plugs work on a MacIntel with DP5.1?
i'm asking because i'm really itching to get a Mac Pro... but my only hold out in the UB plugins world is PSP's Vintage Warmer.
do plugins run under Rosetta if there's no UB?

replacing bass drum hits
has anyone had any success with replacing bass drum hits? kit sounds good. Bass drum sounds like crap. i have a sample that i'd like to replace them with... but before i cut and paste this thing over two songs worth of hits, i wanted to know if there's an easier way to do it. ie - MIDI trigger and s...

Beat Detection Tutorial?
the Beat Detection Engine in the DP5 manual is terrible. i just can't understand it at all.
does anyone have a simpler approach to this?
i'm trying to make a rhythmically challenged drum part sound smooth.
(multi-tracked drums)
any advice? tips? other threads you could recommend?
