Tracks window - moving multiple tracks simultaneously

Post by alexweinstein000 »

i couldn't find this in the forum archives, so i thought i'd ask:

is there a way, in the DP Tracks window, to move more than one track at a time?

meaning, i have 3 inputs on an acoustic guitar, and want to move them all to the top of my track listings. yes, i can move them one by one, but i was wondering if there is a key-command to do it all at once.

There are keyboard commands for moving tracks. Some of them operate on multiple tracks. They include:

CONTROL-PageUp
CONTROL-PageDown
CONTROL-Home
CONTROL-End

There may or may not be an option key involved when moving a group. I don't have DP open at the moment. Anyway, you can select multiple tracks, hit the CONTROL-HOME command (I think), and they all join together at the top. Then use the CONTROL-PageDown to move them down one line at a time.

I use these all the time, but I can never remember exactly what I do. Sometimes I just hit several combinations until one works.
