Re: Problem locating files from earlier DP sessions...
Same thing happens to me, I have file in dp 3 to 5' so I open files n dp 6 then save as dp 6 then open in 7.x. Works fine, bit if I try to open directly in dp 7 they don't work.

Re: DP MIDI tracks VS Ableton live 8
Ahh in ableton I use the built in MIDI instruments audio outs to an audio bus, so technically they are vi's, thanks for smacking me about and waking me up, I went ahead an printed the track, it wasn't a pain. Thanks for the clarity.

DP MIDI tracks VS Ableton live 8
I would like to use my audio effects on MIDI tracks in DP like you can do in Ableton Live by routing the output of the MIDI track to an audio bus with an effect on it. Mind you this was a "hmmmm" moment and I am in the middle of a pre master mix and I dont want to print the MIDI track's au...

Re: Can I use 2 G5 Machines as a cluster with DP7?
I feel stupid, there is a whole thread on this subject, albeit using ve pro. I will have to check it out, sorry guys for the redundancy, I don't know the cost of ve pro yet, but glancing at that thread looks like it does all the audio and MIDI crunchy goodness over Ethernet. Well I will check it out...

Re: Can I use 2 G5 Machines as a cluster with DP7?
Thanks James for fixing that link, i didn't realize it was incomplete. As to the "pro" scenario, i look at it like any other part of my rig, what if my left neared blows out, what if my foot pedal gets broken, what if my main monitor dies? I will be using this in an overflow situation, whe...

Re: Can I use 2 G5 Machines as a cluster with DP7?
Audio and MIDI over ethernet a success story of virtually zero latency!! This subject got me thinking, because I too crave more processing power than I currently have to run Omnisphere, Trilogy, LASS, Mojo Horns, ect (I love big sounds) So I took it upon myself to run a proof of concept test. I hav...

Re: MIDI file import woes ie: There has to be a better way!
ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!? All this time, and I didn't even think to drag the MIDI file anywhere, that was my dumb moment, I feel stupid now.
Thank you so much

MIDI file import woes ie: must be a better way! RESOLVED
I have been using DP since 3.0 and SVP before that. My way of importing MIDI files is to save the MIDI file, then open it up in a new DP file, save it as a DP file then open my file that I want it in, and use the LOAD function. This seems horribly tedious. I have looked through this forum and online...

Re: Got an iPhone, Quickeys, iPad? Need remote DP? :)
Just to jump in here, I would lust after a program like keypad for illustrator http://appshopper.com/utilities/keypad-for-illustrator-for-ipad" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. If one could be developed for DP it would be great! A friend of mine uses it and he loves it. Just ...

Re: TUTORIAL: AC-7Pro & iPad/iPhone for DP 6.02 through 7.11
One last question: is there any way to see the v-rack in AC-7? The way I write I usually group all of my virtual instruments in the v- rack, and most times the volume/pan cannot be controlled by the seq fader, and you must use the v-rack fader.
Thanks in advance.
Miko

Re: TUTORIAL: AC-7Pro & iPad/iPhone for DP 6.02 through 7.11
James you are my hero! I got an ipad on launch day, the AC-7 was the clincher for me, (and netflix!) However, when I got home that day fired it up followed the instructions it didn't work! I was using DP6, and was I pissed off, I tried for the next 3 days to get it working, no luck! (I didn't see yo...
