MOTU 24 io with Vista - Having to always reinstall driver

I have the 24 io running fine with Vista but the only problem is that I need to re-install the driver every time I run the PC.

Has anyone else run into this problem?
Is there a cure?

MOTU 24/io - 44.1 Flashing

I moved my setup from one side of the room to the other today disconnecting then re-connecting all the kit. Everything is back together fine except the MOTU 24/io which when I turn it on does the 44.1 Flashing thing. I've seen it do this before and I can't remember how I resolved it, perhaps just by...

theres just so many inputs, level settings and outputs involved here that i've gone and gotten myself a bit confuzzled on how to obtain the best audio output levels when recording via the I/O 24 in Cubase SX3. I use a bunch of external hardware synths etc... and the tracks i'm working on are all cur...

Thanks for sticking with me on this one guys. I guess that Q&A knocks it on the head airstorm, thank you thank you, i'll just have to get used to things and try match levels a bit closer between whats running on audio and whats on MIDI. The Cubase mixer helps. I guess thats it, with all your hel...

Hi Airstorm,

I think your right on the VU Meter thing, good stuff thanks, will give it a further checkout this evening when my setup is set back up completely.

As far as I can see Cuemix doesn't have anything for modifying wave levels coming from the PC? (unless i've overlooked something)

Thanks again Jidis.. What I ended up doing yesterday was to wipe and re-install my machine, so I guess that will take care of any old names or settings that might be kicking around. I've not yet had a chance to try Cubase. I've been focusing on getting the Motu sorted out first with Windows, Sounds ...

Thank you very much for the feedback Jidis. I notice that I have the MOTU PCI ASIO Driver selected in my Devices config within Cubase. However, when I select the Input/Ouput for the setup of an Audio track I am only shown the ASIO Multimedia Driver. The Input Trims within Cuemix were at ZERO and I c...

It took me a while but I got it, will add here just to close up the thread. The MOTU had replaced the Behringer Soundcards place in Windows Audio Config setup. Went to: Control Panel/ Sounds and Audio Devices/Audio - then changed devices from the MOTU back to the Behringer Soundcard. Best Wishes Aud...

Thanks BigZ.. okay sorted, got that now and have managed through the instructions from airstorm and created the Input/ Output buses in the devices menus. 24 Inputs and 2 Outputs (for now). I've added an Audio track amongst my MIDI tracks to test and where it says 'In' on the left hand side I get a d...
