Control Surface with DP questions
Hi, I just started using an m-audio Project Mix I/O as a firewire-based control surface with Digital Performer. I'm liking it a lot but have a couple of question/concerns. The plugin button (on the PMIO) only lets me change which plugin is in a selected slot in DP but control their knobs/parameters ...

Stupid 2408mkII /O2r question
I'm probably missing something really simple but when I configure a 2408mkII to enable ADAT banks A and B and plug my O2R's 1st ADAT card into bank A on the 2408 and the O2R's 2nd ADAT card into bank B, I can hear the 2408's ADAT outputs through my board's tape returns but can't get a signal into th...

Plug-in HW/SW Compatibilities
After upgrading my PPC Mac to a Power Mac, I'm a little confused about plug-in formats and compatibility(s). My hardware does/will consist of MOTU PCIe-424 and a couple of 2408's and an M-Audio Project Mix I/O. I've used Digital Performer 5.13 for quite a while but have Protools 9 on order. I instal...

normalize gray'd out?
In DP 5.13, why would normalize be gray'd out after I
select a soundbit and go to the audio menu?
Thanks,
Jon

Control Surface with 8 analog and one or more ADAT interface
Are there any control surfaces besides the Tascam 1884
that have 8 mic pre/line inputs and ADAT inputs as well
that work well with DP?
I like the Tascam but have seen reports of compatibility issues
with PT.
Thanks,
Jon

Problem recording with DP 5.13 and Profire Lightbridge
I'm using a Profire Lightbridge and Digital Peformer to record a test track via any of my preamp devices with ADAT out. All I get is an awful vocoder type signal on the track. Playback works just fine with no clicks and pops etc... I don't believe this is a wordclock problem because of the good play...

MOTU PCI-424 and M-audio Lightbridge?
Hi,
Does anyone know if a PCI-424 (with 2408's attached)
can coexist with an M-audio lightbridge with both
used (not at the same time) with DP?
Thanks,
Jon

DP 5.12 hanging/crashing
I'm sure you've all heard this problem a million times but I can't seem to get past it. I'm running a Mac G4 700mhz, OSX 10.4.10, 1.2gb ram, PCI424, 2408mkIIs, and DP 5.12. DP is regularly hanging and crashing on me. I can't even get through a mix of 10 audio tracks without plug-ins. After the crash...

CPU pegs momentarily and causes glitch during playback
After upgrading to OSX 10.4.8, PCI drivers 1.0.8, DP 4.61 on a G4 733 system with PCI-424 and two 2408 mkIIs, the CPU pegs every now and then during recording/playback causing audio glitches that scare my clients (and me). They don't seem to affect the tracks themselves but I'm wondering how I might...

Playback glitches post OSX 10.4.6 upgrade
ello, I run a PCI-424/2408mkII/Mac G4 733/DP4.61 system which worked great under OSX 10.2.6. When I upgraded to 10.4.6 I started getting playback glitches (the CPU monitor idles at a very low level and then occasionally redlines quickly then drops back down, The audio playback glitch happens as the ...

DP 4.52 won't start after upgrade from OSX 10.2.6 to 10.4.6
Hi, I was running my DP 4.52 system on a Mac G4 OSX 10.2.6 with PCI-424 and two 2408mk2s. Today I upgraded to OSX 10.4.6 I also upgraded to the current pcix_1.1.0 PCI driver. The PCI audio console and CueMix consoles both started up fine and seemed to work fine. When I started DP 4.52, it scanned my...

PCI-424/2408s all input is echo'd on outputs 1-2
Hi, Whether I'm running DP or not any input I make on the digital inputs of my 2408 get's echo'd to the digital output channels 1-2. I've worked with the PCI-424 Hardware Setup and the CueMix setup control programs (I'm on a Mac) and I'm unable to stop this with either of them. Any ideas? Thanks, Jon
