Are there any VIs or plugins installed in the project. These are the culprit 99% of the time. Especially Sampletank or SonikSynth2. Remove these components to open this project if this is the case. There are known issues w/ DP4.6 and Sampletank 2 XL and SonikSynth2. Seems to be only the XL versions ...

That is what I do. There are benefits to the PT way where automation stays attache to the soundbite, and benefits to the DP way where it stays where it is in the timeline whether you move the audio piece or not. The prob with the PT way is that if you move audio, it may not requre the same mix param...

I'm a mixerless guy, but I only run a writing/project studio. Using outboard gear such as verbs (which I do) is easy since time align is less crucial. It becomes a much bigger issue with compressers, eq's etc. Combine that with rigging your cue sends for headphones or verb while tracking etc., and t...

Re: Superior Drummer, how to save your drum setup?
Yes it is normal. As soon as the rewire chain is broken, it shuts down. Save your kit early and often.

Re: How to bounce to disk using external FX?
CROYAL--- I have a template setup that has the outputs of my 828 named as to what device they are feeding (ie. Quadraverb2) and the inputs named as what device they are returning from (ie Q2 Return) Then, in my sends, I can select this to send audio from any track directly to this reverb just like a...

Re: How to bounce to disk using external FX?
I use many external FX. Here is what I do I send all the outputs of all tracks and effects etc. directly to another aux. On this fader (which sort of becomes a master fader) I put any master compression or limiting. Then, on the aux send of this new aux(master fader), I send (at unity gain) to a bus...

Re: Sampletank 2.0 ongoing issues w/ 4.6
Clearly there is a diffence between FREE and LE versions vs. the XL version or FULL version that is causing these problems for some users.

Re: Sampletank 2.0 ongoing issues w/ 4.6
Did a fresh install of OS10.4.2 (complete wipe of the HD first), then installed DP4.5, and upgraded it to 4.6. Repeairing permissions every step of the way. Loaded ST XL 2.09, and had the same results as my other 2 G5 towers. The only difference is that the project containing an ainsance of ST XL 2....

Re: Playback meter hovers at 50%...solution
Check your read and write buffer sizes. If the write size is too small, it would cause this meter to rise since it is a representation of the machine's ability to load ram with audio as it needs it. Don't forget, at 96k, each track is double the data of a 48k track. And going from 16 to 24 bit adds ...

Re: Sampletank 2.0 ongoing issues w/ 4.6
Already tried it...On 2 separate systems...I noticed the above success story was again on OS 10.42. Maybe Tiger is the answer.
