Anyone using the FW-1884 control surface? In previous versions, DP and the 1884 worked great. The drivers are installed and DP sees the 1884 in the audio/MIDI setup but not in the control surface setup.

I discovered I didn't have the latest update from Motu. I installed it and DP5.11 detected it. I'm good to go now.

No to both of your questions.

I installed and expected DP5.11 to recognize it especially since its a MOTU product. It runs as a standalone app fine. It shows up in the plug-ins/components folder..what gives?

Has anyone ever had to delete the DP5 cache file in order get DP to detect an AU plugin? In my case after I upgraded from 5.0 to 5.1 I lost my Ez drummer plugin.

Doh! Yes you are correct. EZ drummer does support AU (probably what I meant to say)

I had it working before with DP501. Hmmmm I guess I need to know how AU fail to load ?

The VST instrument EZdrummer was lost after I upgraded. Uninstalling and reinstalling EZD had no effect DP5.1 still couldn't find it.

Any ideas?

I asked the same question and the reply from Novation is below. I would also agree with IO, get gear that works for your needs now. I am tossing a coin between the remote SL and Axiom. If you use Reason 3.x alot then it may be worth it. I have both Reason and DP5.. I can probably live with out the a...

I was just about to post the same problem...then I saw this thread. DP5 is crashing with EZ drums after I attemp to build a user defined library. Crashes consistently. I just upgraded to from a G4 PG 500/384 to a macMini 1.6/2gig ram. Everything is wonderful except for this.
