EZ drummer VST not found after upgrade from DP5.01 to 5.1

The VST instrument EZdrummer was lost after I upgraded. Uninstalling and reinstalling EZD had no effect DP5.1 still couldn't find it.

Any ideas?

I hate to state the obvious here but you're aware DP does not recognize VST instruments, right? You need to install an AU or MAS version of EZ Drummer. They may only have an AU version. I have DFHS and I can't remember offhand.

Doh! Yes you are correct. EZ drummer does support AU (probably what I meant to say)

I had it working before with DP501. Hmmmm I guess I need to know how AU fail to load ?

hmmm.. what is the file name for the DP5.1 cache file? Anyone ever need to delete that file?

tried deleting the cache file but no change in behavior after DP loads all AUs and reports them being ok
