Re: DP7 bouncy meters
We suspect it was some kind of processing problem. It is gone in DP8.

I wish rebooting worked in this case.

DP7 bouncy meters
Here's a weird one: when playing back audio files, the channel and audio monitor meters seem to bounce in wide (10-12 dB) swings in disproportion to the audio content. They also tend to hit the peak meters about 6-8 dB too soon. The content I am using was mastered on a ProTools rig with an L1 set at...

Thanks Shooshie! Video works (I just was too impatient). It was interesting to see how you did the adjust beats. The biggest thing I took away from it was sizing the conductor track adjacent to the audio track to watch the tempo changes. When I get into the studio on monday I'll try it out. Thanks a...

Adjust Beats Question
Thanks Shooshie. I'll play around a little more with adjust beats. I just have to make sure it can be done fast as we have hundreds of edits to make. BTW, I couldn't view your video. Tried several times on two different Macs using both FireFox and Safari. I'd like to see it. Please let me know what ...

Adjust Beats question
I have a number of audio clips that have pick-ups before beat one. If I adjust beats to get the first downbeat aligned on a bar line (and subsequent downbeats aligned on bar lines), the conductor track inserts a tempo change one bar before beat one (to make beat one hit on beat one) with another tem...

Adjust beats question
Perhaps Shooshie knows the answer to this one. I have a number of audio clips that have pick-ups before beat one. If I adjust beats to get the first downbeat aligned on a bar line (and subsequent downbeats aligned on bar lines), the conductor track inserts a tempo change one bar before beat one (to ...

The output latency is now set to 18 ms. We had it at 8 ms, but as we added instruments, we had to increase it because the audio would start to break up. Here's the interesting part: It seems that the quantity of instruments - not their use - is what causes the break up. In other words, we were fine ...

Thanks Studiodog. It's an option. But it's hard to play the parts with the delay on (although the Kontakt stuff is already that way). I suppose it could be switched on and off. I guess these are all viable work arounds - but I kind of hoped someone might know of an obscure feature that handles this....

Alternative to automatic delay compensation?
I have a second Mac running Kontakt in standalone mode. There is about 20 ms of response lag (latency) on the samples. Is there an easy way to delay the MIDI tracks that play from the main DP Mac so that they are in sync with the 2nd Mac? (I know I can shift the tracks, or put a MIDI delay on each t...
