DP commands via MIDI problem
I can't seem to get my MIDI keyboard to control any of DP's command functions. I've tried various note assignments in the commands menu - and it sees my MIDI keyboard just fine - but I can't get it to do anything. I've also played with the MIDI Masters buttons - no luck.
All I want to do is map the highest note on my MIDI keyboard to control the start/stop function. What am I missing?

Had a second and tried to duplicate your situation.
Go almost all the way down to the "Transport Commands" section in the "Commands" window.
Click on the "MIDI Event" area next to "Play/Stop Toggle". Play your highest key. As you said, DP should recognize it and display the note you played.
Make sure Master Master at the top of the Commands window is selected (blackened or greyed or whatever) and Transport Master.
This just worked for me...hope it helps you!
=bz=
EDIT: Also, does the Source indicate "Any"? That works for me, but you might also try selecting your actual MIDI keyboard controller.

Are you turning on both masters? The master master, and the master for the section you're using. Or have they changed that? I haven't used remote masters in about 8 years.audiobrad wrote:Thanks for the response BZ - already done that. Might be a preferences thing - time to repair permissions, trash prefs, etc. I'm thinking something's broken.
