MK3 Hybrid not talking to Cuemix FX Win7 64-bit - SOLVED
My Cuemix FX panel and the Hybrid's display are not communicating. Changes I make in the software have no effect on the hardware, and visa versa. Audio seems to work fine. But routings, mixes, dsp...anything I try to modify with Cuemix FX has no effect. I'm on a new laptop with up-to-date Windows 7 ...

Re: Problem installing MicroBook on new computer.
1nput0utput, A powered USB hub solved it! Thank you VERY much for offering the suggestion. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. ========================================================= I know MOTU staff read this forum. The last time I had a problem, I posted here after waiting days ...

Problem installing MicroBook on new computer. SOLVED.
I'm having a problem installing Cuemix FX for my MicroBook on a new laptop. I opened a Technote on Sunday (three days ago), but no comment from MOTU yet. Maybe somebody here could offer a suggestion for me? Thanks! Here's what I've put in the MOTU technote: 11/14/2010 17:09:59: I'm installing my Mic...

Re: random Ultrlite sound card distortion???
If increasing the buffer doesn't help, make sure you have a genuine Texas Instruments (TI) chip in your adapter.
This doesn't cause a problem for everybody, but in my case my laptop ONLY works with the UL on a TI cardbus adapter.

SOLVED: UltraLite (original) and MicroBook on same machine?
I've got this working now, and it seems the problem was that I didn't update the UL prior to installing the MB software. I thought I could just run the installer and take care of both units at the same time, but that didn't work out too well. Here's what I did to get everything working: 1) Restored ...

Re: UltraLite (original) and MicroBook on same machine?
...you have to choose to install by the FireWire/USB audio driver package and the MicroBook driver package. If you only choose to install one of them at a time, the other one will be uninstalled. I'm not sure what you mean here. If I recall, the MB installed it's own drivers and CueMix FX (it said ...

SOLVED: UltraLite (original) and MicroBook on same machine?
I've had the UltraLite since if first came out. I just got a MicroBook, and want to be able to switch from one to the other, depending on the gig. I installed the new drivers and the MicroBook software, and the MB seems to work, but my software can't use the UL now. I'm on a WinXP SP3 Pentium M (sin...

I saw your post, but when I searched the Belkin models you listed, they were all PCI cards. I didn't make the connection to a laptop Cardbus adapter. I was thinking the problem would be on the laptop's mobo or its firewire controller chip, not on the PCMCIA adapter. :( I agree with you about manufac...

After hours of searching for information, I solved the problem I have been having with noise on my MOTU Ultralite. My MusicXPC3X laptop came with a NEC based Cardbus Firewire port. I replaced it with a Texas Instruments based card, and it works fine now. I bought the ADS Pyro 1394DV for Notebooks, a...

Well, I tried the RME fix, and it made a little difference. At least now the Ultralite is quiet (no meter dancing) until I try to access it with Sonar or Bandstand. I'll let you know if I get news from the other sources I've written to. But I think this unit is going back to Sweetwater. :( Anybody h...

Thanks Smokehouse (hello Watertown!). I looked at the RME info, and they seem to indicate that the MS Hotfix 885222 should be enough. I hate to start messing with Windows files unless absolutely necessary. I've emailed MOTU, Sweetwater, and MusicXPC about the problem. Why can't audio hardware work c...

I just got my Ultralite today, and am having the same problem. Pops, clicks, noise...and suddenly the audio works fine...then it goes to noise again. I have a MusicXPC 3X laptop running WinXP. It came with a 3-port Cardbus Firewire adapter. I'll have to get a 6-to-4 pin wire and try running it direc...
