I have a 1.67Gh Powerbook with 2GB, I was told by a friend that I need to upgrade my set up to a mac with atleast 4GB or more to run MAchFive 2.0 and DP 5.0.

I'm a musician (keyboard and bass player) and I just purchased MachFIve 2.0. The sounds are amazing specially the pianos and orquestra sounds. Really cool samples.

I am running DP 5, 828mkII and MachFive 2 on my Powerbook G4 1.67GHz with 2GB. It's very slow and the latency is terrible- I'm starting to freak out.. i spend money on MachFive 2.0 and it's not working properly with my G4.

Should I be looking to upgrade Mac to a new model? Any input?
