I realise the 2408mk2 uses a special firewire port but....

Is it possible to link up a Motu 2408mk2 to a laptop using
ADAT lightpipe or even firwire?

Has anyone got a 2408 mk2 working on a Laptop?

Any special interface cards that are in the shops?

they patch and route but i get crackels and pops at the moment
so I shall spend sunday night trying to sort it out !

Ive spent so many hours trying to figue out how to patch/route stand alone software (non rewire)audio devices into cubase/nuendo I thought that was what ASIO was all about. but with MOTU 2408mk2 you cant you have to go out of the interface and back in ..hard wire with cable...

can any of you guys route/patch asio instruments into cubase or nuendo via cuemix? or is cuemix just there for the ins and outs of the motu hardware?
