Can anyone who went to NAMM give us a hint of what new features or improvements DP 9 includes?
Other than the exhaustive (exhausting?) 9-page forum thread about the pros and cons of grid-spacing for music, I really can't seem to find anything?
Thx!

Foot-switch / Punch-in & out
I am trying to do something that I thought would be incredibly easy, but cannot figure out... I want to punch in and out of record in DP with a foot-switch. I have a momentary foot-switch plugged into the pedal input of one of my MIDI Express XT's. I'm familiar with ClockWorks, and also the commands...

Clippings / Folders
Hi. Has anyone found a way to save a folder and it's sub-folders and tracks as a clipping? My entire audio setup in the tracks window of DP is in one big folder, with sub-folders containing all my audio tracks, plug-ins, effects, etc. I can save the whole folder as a clipping, but it loses all of it...

Any way to automate / keyboard command / macro this?
Hi, I am wondering if there is any way to automate this or assign a keyboard command to this? I am constantly switching my master stereo-mix track between input-monitor and record. I am in input-monitor when I track, and record when I am printing a mix. It is an either/or situation..either the maste...

Simple USB Surround Panner Controller
Hi, Does anyone have any advice on a simple USB surround panner-controller for DP. I saw some USB game controllers, but being from the generation before computer games and X-Boxes, I don't know anything about these controllers (are they proportional, 360-degrees, limited axis, or what?) I'm not sure...

Re: Digital Timepiece Help
Thanks very much.
I have that preference turned on, as well as DP markers that have "streamers" checked, but still no streamers.

Re: Digital Timepiece Help
I have managed to get it to work via MIDI now...I just needed to re-start.
Everything is working except the streamers.
I cannot see anything in Clock Works that would allow you to position them or turn them on or off.

Re: Digital Timepiece Help
Thanks.
I thought about that.
It has an RS-422 port on the back marked "remote".
I used to have a Video TimePiece, which responded and did all it's setup via midi-sysex, so I was assuming it was the same?

Digital Timepiece Help
Can anyone help me with a Digital Timepiece I just bought, alas no manual. I want to use for video timecode-readout and streamers via video overlay. I hooked up video in and out. I also hooked up MIDI 1 in and MIDI out 1, and then opened Clockworks but can't get it to respond to Clockworks. I set DP...

Re: DP and OSX Time Machine
Thanks very much.
2 backup-drives; 1 Time-Machine and the other straight backup, sounds like the way to go.

Re: NAMM report
I definitely need to weigh in on the side of disappointment. I too was hoping for some news of a 64-bit DP. Yes, we have great tools at our disposal. And yes, we all love DP (or we probably would not be here on this forum, and on a Sunday!). but............. DP crashes on me at least 5-6 times per d...

Mach 5 to Replace Gigasstudios
Hello All.
I am thinking of replacing my two Gigastudio PCs with a couple of new Mac Minis running the new Mach 5 standalone.
This will be primarily to run my Giga orchestral library.
Any thoughts, problems, tips, reccomendations?
thanks!

Movie Window Audio Sync
I posted this on the Motu-Mac site, but in retrospect, thought I might be more likely to get an accurate answer here: Does anyone know if the Quicktime Movie playback audio sync problem has been solved? I saw that there is an OS X 10.4.7 update that supposedly addresses Quicktime audio sync issues, ...
