I hope things develop quickly for the Mactels. CompUSA is still selling G5 demos for a good price. I bought mine stock with 1G RAM for $1520.00 before taxes. Quads are $1800.00 or so.

I just talked to MOTU and if I want to run M5 on 2 computers simultaneously I have to purchase a second copy.
Has anyone run into this situation?
I have many other plug-ins/synths that don`t require this.
I`m not angry...just a little confused.

Before I call MOTU, is anyone running Mach5 on two computers? If so, did you need a second iLok Smart Key?
And does Motu provide one?

That is very helpful information. It sounds like 5.1 will work fine.
I know with any upgrade there is a potential for glitches, which is perfectly understandable to me. And paying twice doesn`t make much sense.

4.51 or 4.62... I`m open to suggestions. Whichever one is more stable.
My G5 has OS 10.4.2.
My plug ins are: Mach 5,Altiverb,Trilogy,Atmosphere,Antares Auto Tune,EWQLO Gold,. They are all running well in DP4.12 on my G4.

Yes, it is a dual core G5. Are there any issues with plug in compatibility in 5.1? That is my main concern....I just want to be able to run all of my excisting plug ins. If 4.62 allows them to run well, I would be happy with that!
