DP5.1 Works great on my new G5

Post by Foobob »

Thanks to Frodo and others for advice on getting 5.1 for the new G5 2.3G I recently purchased. It is working flawlessly with my upgraded versions of Atmosphere,Trilogy,Mach5,and EWQLO Gold. It is quite pleasant to work with and all my concerns about the problems that sometimes come with upgrading were for naught!
The Dual G4 Still works great but the speed difference is amazing! Although I`m sure you all know that already....
This forum is great!
Thanks all,
Foobob

Hey Foobob:

Congrats!! Sounds like a great setup you've got there. Have fun with it.

One favor to ask? Please chime in with our member cchord. He is currently having a hard time with DP 5.1 on his Intel tower. Maybe you can offer him some advice or encouragement?

Thanks!

Yes, it is a G5...
Thanks for the congrats!
I hope things develop quickly for the Mactels. CompUSA is still selling G5 demos for a good price. I bought mine stock with 1G RAM for $1520.00 before taxes. Quads are $1800.00 or so.

Wow. That's the most significant markdown I've seen, but then I've not kept up with market prices over the past month or so. Demos, eh? Hmm...

Foobob, you must be jammin' by now!! I know the joy of a nice computer upgrade. May this be the system that wins you a Grammmy!
