Thanks for the encouragement, I would love to buy a new Mac and a new 424 PCI express card (along with a new DM2000!!!), but for that cost I am seriously going to consider a hard disc recorder! I am trying to utilize what I have with the least expense at this point. But thanks.

I have to agree with the last post, I run a 2.6 p4 ht , xp pro sp 2 with a 2408 mk 3 and can run 25 to 30 tracks with a fair amout of processing before my machine says uncle... please look at your pci bus resources, is your video card pci???

how to bring down a track that is too hot?
I recorded my friends band, direct out of the console into my 2 896's and the vox trac is way to hot, how to eq and or compress to make it sound reasonable?
