Thanks fellas,

I'm not in that big of a hurry, so I think I will wait for DP6 to come out. I had spoken to the distributor when the transfer was done and they said that everything should be fine.

Have either of you got a good email addy for motu to make enquiries?

Thanks again...

Upgrade Path

Hi, What would be the proper upgrade path from DP 4.6? I.e. would it be 4.6 to 4.7? Straight to 5.?? Also, I own DP 4.6(1) I believe. I purchased 4.5 privately, and they transferred ownership to me. I downloaded 4.6, which I have been happy with so far. I can see from several forums, that DP has mov...

That was the quickest answer I've gotten from any forum!! 8) I had not been 'officially told this, but have now come across a few posts which suggest it. I had already downloaded 4.61, but am now wondering, do I need to go through the upgrade sequence -> 4.5 -> 4.52 -> 4.6.1 Or can I just go to 4.6....

Help a Newbie Please!! DP 4.5

I've posted this over on bigbluelounge.com, but so far I haven't had any luck so I'll try here. :( Ok, I've been scouring the forums in anticipation of my newly arrived (second hand) DP 4.5. It arrived yesterday which made my day at work even harder to deal with than usual. Before I start, let me st...

I'm a bit confused. I have a dual G4 450. Will upgrade from 450 to what_ever_the_max it can be upgraded to really not make that much difference? Maybe I've been reading the comment here wrong. If there wasn't that much of a difference in performance between the processors, what was the point...

if you want to pursue the firewire option, check out: http://www.networkworld.com/columnists/2006/050106internet.html[/quote] 8) This is what I had heard about. I'll try this option first as firewire connections already present on both machines. I'll 'eventually' get around to going the ethernet rou...

Networking to PC via firewire/USB

Please forgive a "newbie" to Macs and networking. I have heard, that this is a way of 'networking' a mac and a PC via firewire/USB using MS and Apples remote accessing features. Could anyone tell me if this is true, and if so, explain how I would go about this? Mac = Dual G4 450 (AG...

Would this be the same advice for a dual G4 450(graphite AGP)? I got this for next to nothing and wish to use it for music production etc.. I use PCI cards and want to continue to do so for the immediate future. I'd like to upgrade this machine, but aren't aware of my options. I'd like to do this as...

I'm running the same interface under XP with no problems. Ocassionally, it won't be recognized at boot up. But LPT refresh and it works. I have a mate that also uses this. His system does not always refresh and when it does, he has to leave Clockworks running. The only difference in our systems is h...
