MK1 Traveller and horrible phantom noise.

So I've had my MK1 Traveller for about 5 years now and all was great until last year when I started getting really bad noise whenever I used phantom power. It took me a bit to figure out what was causing it exactly but after testing dynamic mics and line inputs, it was clear that it was phantom powe...

How to setup a BLA traveller + ada8000?

I'm going to buy an ada8000 to use along with my (soon to be) BLA traveller. I've never messed with anything optical before, much less with clocking things going on. I know the ada8000 doesnt come with any cables. What do I need to buy/do to get them to play together? I'm assuming for sure an optica...

At least I'm not alone.

Well, I'm experiencing this in DP5.1 with OS 10.4.8.

I am using the internal sound driver, so maybe it acts different on diff sound cards? (i havent tested it running through my traveller as I normally mix with just my laptop + headphones)

MW Equalizer + Automation = Useless (noise)?

I've been working on a very busy mix that has required alot of surgical automation with MWEQ (sweeping up the locut filter to remove footsteps upstairs etc..) and have been running into some wierd problems. I did a search but nothing turned up so heres whats happening. On some automation (I havent f...

I'm getting my traveller modded next month (i had to make an appointment over a month in advance to mail it in for modding!) they were very promt with email replies however. From what Jim told me, you shouldnt experience any problems with the adat/spdif on a mac, that the faq is mainly there for win...

thanks frodo!

the time formats thing worked like a charm, exactly what i needed

as for the metering, i have clip retention on (its default no?), which is nice, but its nice to see how hot a track got once playing it through

are there any plugs for metering that arent cpu hogs?
preferably freeware

This has to be possible?

These are a few things that I don't know how to do, but I must imagine they are done. Is it possible to get the time display in the transport to save its settings? I rarely use MIDI, and if I do, i dont use DP's tempo, so I basically only every use the display in real-time. The problem is, everytime...

DP freaking out core audio?

I'm running DP 4.6.1 on a PowerBook G4 1.67gHz, (OS10.4.3), 1.5G ram etc.. I'm currently using Core Audio as my main audio device(not recording any audio yet, just importing files etc..) When I have DP open I get periodic 'freak outs' across all audio applications. By 'freak out' I mean it sounds li...

dongle dongle dongle

Hello all, first post using DP4.6 on a 17" 1.67gHz powerbook one of the main reasons why I went with DP in the first place(as apposed to PT or Logic) is the dongle free work enviornment being that my main workstation is a laptop I didn't want to lug around hardware, or worry about piece breakin...
