Re: Ivory 2 Users: Question
That's interesting, I had one project that every time I loaded it the piano part was off. I hadn't played this project in a while or with Ivory 2. I thought some notes had mistakenly got moved or something, but then when I tried playing the part live that same D you mention was out of tune. It was o...

Re: Mac OS 10.6.5 Update - A-OK
Just a word of warning, apparently the 10.6.5 update causes problems with some usb devices. I use the ENTTEC DMXIS to control my lighting and they said not to update yet. Not sure if anyone has run into this, but I know I can't update until this is fixed.

Re: New Keyboard Controller
I have the Akai MPK88 Pro and it is definitely a solid controller. Build quality is excellent. Sliders, buttons, and knobs are top notch. The key action is very good depending on what you are looking for. I have played piano for 35 years and it is definitely acceptable. I also play a lot of synth/or...

Re: Opinions please. Time to switch back, or move on.
Tomato; tomahto. If you like your tools, stick with 'em. Don't try to change mine so they work like yours! Mine work so much better for me that I'd be completely lost if they stopped doing that. If I had to work in a Logic-like interface, I would no longer do this kind of work. That's how different...

Re: Opinions please. Time to switch back, or move on.
It still boggles my mind that no company has the capacity to put together a DAW that works for everyone. There typically are like 2 or 3 things maybe in each one that people just don't like. PT LE has no ADC and the MIDI editing has always been behind the curve. Logic has the environment and yada, y...

Love what you're doing Amplidood, thanks for the hard work.
Not to get greedy, but what about a wallpaper similar to the logo you have created for each mod? That would be sweet!

Re: Big sale at IK!
Thanks for the info. I don't know why, but I'm not getting any of these emails from them and I have been a registered user since 2004. I didn't even receive the original %25 off upgrade email, but thanks to this thread I emailed IK and they forwarded it to me. I guess I will have to contact them aga...

Re: Big sale at IK!
I should also mention that I was curious about why I did not see my "get one free" portion of the purchase at first, and called IK Multimedia's phone # as well as leaving an email. The representative called me back within an hour, which I figured would never happen, and also responded to ...

Re: Big sale at IK!
Larry, I'm sure you already know this, (but just in case) you can go into the Audio Units Manager in Logic and check the box next to Amplitube. Even though it doesn't pass AU validation it still works, I just downloaded the demo yesterday as a matter of fact. And quite honestly, I was pleasantly sur...

DP just recognizes what is in you audio/MIDI setup. How many micro express show up in your audio MIDI setup under the MIDI tab? Is #2 micro express present but greyed out? I don't think you will have to rebuild the whole setup. Would it be possible to remove the #3 micro express device then rescan M...

Interesting decision. I have both and will say right up front that PlugsoundPro has much better sounds hands down. Also, the interface is much nicer to look at. I have never liked IK Multimedia's GUI's. However, the samples take a little longer to load in PSP and their customer support is obsolete. ...

I've never seen a 10,000 rpm drive in an external hard drive. But what about buying a raptor and putting it in an external hard drive case? I had never thought about that before. Do you think the performance difference would be noticeable and are those external hard drive cases made for a 10k drive?

Questions about MachFive2
I think I read that MachFive2 can read the Plugsound Pro sample library. Has anyone tried this that can verify it actually works? Also, can anyone familiar with Plugsound Pro tell me if MachFive2 has expert mode the same as PSP? One more question. Is MachFive2 more CPU efficient than PSP? Thanks!
