Just got an aswer from Prosoft Engineering Customer Support : "We have a custom file module available  (and suddenly there was only the sound of running footsteps echoing down the hall as Eric runs to his hard drive to start this process....) Thank you all, I'll let you know what happen...

I'm not sure I follow you. This happened last november, but I pulled the drive, and stuck it on a shelf in the hopes that something might surface someday to be able to recover the data. I ran data rescue ii, and it didn't reveal the erased files. Given the length of the session (live recording), the...

Hi. The problem lies with the Mac OS X way of doing things. In Classic Mac OS, it was much easier to recover accidentally deleted files. Now, OS X deletes the files in such a way that becomes very hard for these applications to recover them. Would it be possible to start up an OS9 mac, and run Nort...

I think Data Rescue might be a root level file recovery program for re-builidng an entire harddrive that has been damaged. But the "file un-erase" function does not support SDII.

Thanks for the well wishes, Mr. Frodo. Data rescue, sadly, does not support SDII file recovery. Even though the software does not actively support SDII, I ran the test on my drive anyway, hoping against hope. But nothing.... I might have to try a recovery house. According to a guy who does this for ...

Un-erase SDII files? Biggest "oops" ever....

Long, idiotic story short: I recorded a live show last night to 20 tracks on a Mac using DP, then accidently deleted it, then hit "empty trash". I have not touched the hard drive in any way since, so the data is theoretically there. I downloaded an excellent program called "File Salva...

M-Audio USB fastrack

Hello all, I've been using DP4.5 for awhile, but recently decided to get a portable computer for doing little hobby projects on-the go. I purchased an M-Audio USB fastrack to use as a 1 I/O lo-fi "idea catcher" on my G4 titanium. When I try to "Configure Hardware Driver" in order...
