Hello all,
I've been using DP4.5 for awhile, but recently decided to get a portable computer for doing little hobby projects on-the go. I purchased an M-Audio USB fastrack to use as a 1 I/O lo-fi "idea catcher" on my G4 titanium.
When I try to "Configure Hardware Driver" in order to use the Fastrack, I get the following options:
Built-in Audio
Fast Track (output)
Fast Track (input)
When I select the "FT input" I get the following error:
"Digital Performer cannot use the CoreAudio driver as it is currently configured because no outputs are available. You must configure the driver so that the MOTU Audio System can use at least one output pair."
(so then I select "FT output." But then, alas, I am not able to use the Fastrack for Input, which is the whole dam reason I got the little bugger.)
Any thoughts on the matter?
Thanks in Advance,
Eric

If you are on 10.4 you can combine both the Fast Track input and output by creating an "aggregate device." Open Audio MIDI Setup, go to audio menu, open aggregate device editor. Pretty straightforward from there. If you're not on 10.4, I can't help you, although there may be a workaround. Try talking to M-Audio, as this problem is caused by the way they wrote their driver.
