1. Deleted the rewire entry of [system drive]/Library/Application Support
Look for something called Ableton Live Engine hiding in there ( I think, this was a while ago).remove this and THEN try reinstalling Reason 2.5

Re: Rewire Problem

What onion said. Also, once you've removed the offending version and hopefully got an older Rewire that DP and other apps like, make a few copies of it and stick them in folders somewhere. If this ever happens again from another demo or whatever, you'll be able to set things straight in a few minutes.

Re: Rewire Problem

I 've found that Live will add new versions of Rewire which remain after you delete the app.

This could be your problem. I know when I launched the Live 4 demo, a new version of Rewire was installed. And I had DP and other apps complain about it.

Re: ! Verify ReWire DDL.Cpp (1078) : Verify Failure

Even a demo such as Ableton Live 4 can add a Rewire extension that's too new for apps like DP3 and Cubase 5.

Disable/remore your existing Rewire extension and get an older one in there.

Re: ! Verify ReWire DDL.Cpp (1078) : Verify Failure

"Verify Failure" means that the Rewire extension you're using is not compatible with DP for some reason.

Have you added any new software or demos recently?

You'll notice a nice performance increase when you double that RAM.

Re: Defragmenting hard drive failed, norton issues, DP error

Which version of Norton are you using in OS9? Version 6 is the best one for OS9. Much of Norton's bad rep is from OSX versions, not the earlier ones. I agree with the comments that you allowed your drive to get too full before you took action. I'd of cut it off around 60 gigs myself. If possible, it...

IF.. anyone could put a figure on how many Logic PC users actually switched platforms.
Seems to me most of them said hell with it and went to SX.

Re: DP3.11 MIDI and Mach5

You'll be able to use Mach5 and other MIDI gear at the same time. Providing you have everything set up correctly in FreeMidi,of course.

Some more RAM would be a good idea, otherwise Mach5 is just going to bring your system down with Multi presets and large sample sets like Pianos.

The Natural Studio drums can be loaded and used in Battery. They sound very nice. :)

I've had good results from NI Battery. Easy to figure out, easy on your CPU.

Also, check out BFD and DFHS.They sound pretty awesome.

Re: Switch from Opcode to MOTU

Yes, DP is the easiest transition for a SVP user. I've tried the thing that laughingly calls itself Logic and I just get frustrated. DP is a lot easier to wrap your head around. And while it's missing a few SVP features ,it has some pretty cool stuff that SVP didnt live long enough to get. If you sw...
