I just installed the upgrade.(1.2.3) The pdf recommended
that I place the sounds folder on a different drive than the
audio to improve the cpu performance, so i moved the
"MachFive•„• Sounds Folder" to my 2nd internal drive.
I then proceeded to Reselect MachFive sounds Folder.
Then I created/selected a new Soundbank. When i
attempt to drag/drop a sample onto the keyboard, it says
"The UVI-engine reported an error.... Could not install
selected samples. Cannot find sample. Error ID 3007."
I tried copying samples into the sounds folder, and then
dragging them onto the Mach5 from there....same
problem.
Anyone know how to solve this? I should mention that I
just purchased MachFive and this is my first attempt to
use it. I read the quickstart manual though, and if I can't
load any sounds and create presets, i can't learn any
more about it.
THANX
Mach5 Can't locate any sounds, even when i drag/drop.

Do this:
When you want to install samples into machfive - Be absolutely sure that they are in a folder that has no ODD characters in the name. For instance, drag the samples you want to import into a folder called "M5 Samples"...on your desktop, or on the same drive as you M5 sound folder.
Start with just trying one individual sample. It should work. When you do multi-drag and drop (chromatic/white keys/etc), M5 can often take a sh*t and will stop being your friend.
Let me know if that works.

You might also need to create a new PRESET before adding samples. But you can test the integrity of your samples by inserting them into a DP track (assuming you are in DP, of course.) You can drag them right from DP into the M5 window. Sample rate may be an issue as well. I generally use 44.1 because that is where most of my samples are from earlier systems. I am guessing that M5 accommodates other sample rates (48, 22, etc.) but I'm not sure.ManOtunes wrote: I then proceeded to Reselect MachFive sounds Folder.

But gragging from DP (I just drag it over from the track window to the M5 sample window) should work.
