I haven't used Clippings for a few versions, but I thought there used to be a way to have them float. I did a forum search and digging through options menus hasn't yielded results.
Basically, I'd just like the clippings windows to float over my consolidated window. What's happening now is that they disappear behind the consolidated window once I click off the Clippings window. I'm just digging through the Project Tab and scrolling down with a mouse every time and I could have sworn there was a way to have them float.

Re: Trying to get Clippings Windows to float...
I remember when MOTU added a preference to make Effects windows float, but don’t think they ever applied that option to other windows. Seems an obvious thing to do. If I know I’m going to want to switch to a panel not in the Consolidated window, I drag it to another virtual screen, so it becomes available with Ctl-Arrow.
