DP Loses track color assignments when "hiding takes"
DP 11.33 (and all version before this I believe), LOSES it's track color assignments when Hiding takes after doing take comping. You SHOW takes on a track, assign the opened takes various colors, then hide takes, then show takes again after, and all color assignments you had to the takes are removed. I guess this is either a bug, pr dp was never "supposed to" be assigned SUB colors when comping takes?

I didn't realize that takes could have their own color. That does seem useful so you have a reminder of which take you're working on/in. I suppose if that was an unintentional feature, than I'd expect it would break.

Re: DP Loses track color assignments when "hiding takes"
Imagine looking at 30 takes of something, all same color? Its definitely needed as a feature It WILL assign colors when all tracks are "shown", but then loses the colors when closing. Makes little sense to me. Call it a bug or an unsupported feature, no difference, it still needs to work.

I've never thought to assign colour to takes, but the latest version of DP does just what you say. I agree, if you can assign a colour to a take it should stay that colour.toodamnhip wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 5:40 pm Imagine looking at 30 takes of something, all same color? Re: DP Loses track color assignments when "hiding takes"
I haven't been changing the colors of the tracks I'm comping, but do usually make the Comp Track a different color so it stands apart while I'm comping. When the Takes are hidden, the Track retains the Comp Track color.
Although I strive to avoid comping as many takes as TDH, it would be nice if Takes retained their individual colors.
